Dänische Botschaft in Deutschland:
"Künstlerisches Licht in dunklen Tagen: Die Künstlerin Birgit Kjærsgaard bespielt eine Vitrine im U-Bahnhof Kleistpark in Berlin-Schöneberg mit einer poetischen 3D-Reflexion über Trauerrituale und Vorstellungen von Tod.
Die Arbeit hat die Künstlerin unter anderem zu einem Pilgrimsort nach Japan geführt.
„Mountain of Sadness“, so der Werktitel – ist von der Landschaft am Berg inspiriert und zeigt ein flimmerndes Bild des möglichen Tores zur Unterwelt.
Das Werk ist Teil der Serie „A Femmes City“ kuratiert von Isolde Nagel, die mit A Trans ein Galerieprojekt ohne festen Ort betreibt."
